Introduction
The Suzuki Burgman 400 is a full-size premium maxi-scooter that many Indian riders have been waiting for. It offers a 399 cc liquid-cooled engine, excellent comfort, large storage and strong highway manners. As of September 2026, the Burgman 400 is still not officially launched in India. It was only showcased at the Suzuki Matsuri event in Mumbai earlier this year. Because of this, there is no official on-road price in Hyderabad yet. This article explains the current status and gives a realistic expected on-road price if Suzuki decides to launch it.
Official Availability Status
• Officially launched in India? No • Currently available through authorised dealers? No • Grey market / import available? Limited • Showcased in India? Yes (April 2026 at Suzuki Matsuri, Mumbai) Until Suzuki Motorcycle India announces an official launch, the Burgman 400 cannot be bought with standard warranty, service support or RTO registration as a new vehicle through regular channels.
Expected Price in Hyderabad (If Launched)
Based on global pricing and typical Indian market positioning, here is a realistic estimate: • Expected Ex-Showroom Price: ₹5.80 – 6.50 Lakh • Expected On-Road Price in Hyderabad: ₹6.50 – 7.40 Lakh Approximate breakdown for Hyderabad: • Ex-Showroom: ₹6.00 Lakh (mid estimate) • RTO / Registration: ₹70,000 – 85,000 (approx 12–14%) • Insurance (Comprehensive): ₹25,000 – 35,000 • Handling & Other Charges: ₹10,000 – 15,000 • Total On-Road: Around ₹7.00 – 7.30 Lakh Note: These are estimated figures. Final price will depend on Suzuki’s official pricing, taxes and any launch offers.
Why the Price is High
The Burgman 400 is a completely different machine from the Burgman Street 125. It has a 399 cc liquid-cooled engine, dual-channel ABS with traction control, much larger dimensions, higher build quality and proper touring capability. This puts it in the premium maxi-scooter category, closer to bikes like the Honda Forza 350 or BMW C 400 series rather than regular 125 cc scooters.
Final Take
As of now, there is no official Suzuki Burgman 400 on-road price in Hyderabad because the scooter is not launched in India. If and when Suzuki brings it to the market, buyers in Hyderabad can expect an on-road price in the range of ₹6.50 – 7.40 Lakh. Until then, the only options are limited grey-market imports (which come with higher cost, no official warranty and complicated registration) or waiting for an official announcement from Suzuki Motorcycle India.
