The crossplane engine has a unique character — strong, linear, and addictive — while the chassis and electronics package give you confidence to push hard. It’s not the most practical daily rider, but if you want a true superbike experience with Yamaha’s racing pedigree, the R1 is still one of the best choices in the segment.
